He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all–how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? Romans 8:32
If God did not spare His own Son for your sake, how precious are you?
Think about an object of value that a man might purchase. Perhaps a work of art, a fancy car, a beautiful home, or an expensive ring. That item would of course be very precious to him. Would he not take care of it, guard it, and do all they he could do protect it? And all for something temporal that will someday fade away.
God places great value on the eternal souls of men. If a mere man would take such good care of his valuables, how much more would God take care of those He has purchased at such a dear price as the blood of His only begotten Son?
In the darkest moments, He lights the way. He is hope for the hopeless, peace for those who would know no peace. His arm is strong. He watches over His flock with care and lovingkindess; He neither slumbers nor sleeps. His Grace is sufficient and His will perfect. He knows what we need before we even ask, and those who call on His Name will never be disappointed.
We must live our lives in this Gospel reality. His love is wider, deeper, more profound and more lasting than any trial or tribulation that may come our way. His promises are sure. His hand is open. Rest in His unfailing Grace and be amazed!
By His Grace and for the Gospel,
